Why are the courses only six
hours in length?
Modern attention spans and
learning curves suggest that
smaller bite-sized chunks of
information are more easily
assimilated than longer
drawn-out training periods.
Plus, Arrow is all about
"immersion training." Our
aim is to give you the best
education in the least
amount of time possible.
That doesn't mean we've cut
the corners on content. Far
from that, when you are done
with Arrow, you'll know that
you've been to school.
Where will we find the
teachers that are qualified
to teach the Arrow
curriculum?
Right in your own church!
Believe it or not, God has
promised us the right number
of gifted people for every
position necessary in the
local church. You just have
to be brave enough to let
them grow into their
gifting. Of course, you'll
want as many strong teachers
as you can find, but one of
the great side benefits of
the Arrow program is that it
helps develop new teachers
as you go.
Is Arrow Schools
International an accredited
institution?
No, not at this time.
Because of our immersion
training approach, we must
necessarily forego a lot
that is required in a true
Bible College or Seminary.
Having said that, our
courses have been accepted
for credit by a number of
such schools. Our primary
goal is not to create
scholars but skilled workers
for the local church.
Will the Arrow curriculum
qualify me for entry level
ministerial licensing?
That, of course, depends on
the ministerial association
in which you are interested.
As a point of reference,
though, one conscious design
of the curriculum package is
to prepare people for such
licensing. To date,
one-fourth of our graduates
have gone on to vocational
ministry work.
What is the purpose of the
Devotional Workbook?
The Devotional Workbook
breaks down the entire Bible
into 508 bite-sized chunks.
Each day the student uses
one of those portions as the
basis for their devotions.
At the end of the two years,
not only has the student
actually read the entire
Bible, but they've written
their own personal
commentary as well. However,
the real purpose of the
Devotional Workbook is, of
course, to build a positive
habit pattern into the life
of the student. Everything
in life or in ministry rises
or falls to the degree that
we maintain communion with
Christ our King.
What is the purpose of the
Work Service Program?
During the two-year course
of study, each student is
required to serve two hours
per week in one of the major
ministry arms of the local
church, rotating to a new
ministry area at the start
of each new semester. There
are four principle reasons
for the Work Service
Program:
-
Each student has
hands-on experience with
ministry, learning new
skills as they go.
-
Each student has an
opportunity to discover
where their distinctive
spiritual gifting works
best.
-
By working in different
areas, the student is
better able to see 'the
big picture' of the
whole church, how things
work together.
-
The student gains an
appreciation of the
challenges that other
workers face in the
different ministries of
the church.
What is the purpose of the
Bible Memorization?
"Your word have I hidden in
my heart, that I might not
sin against You." (Psalm
119:11) Enough said!
What is Arrow School's
theological orientation?
We are unashamedly
Charismatic/Pentecostal in
our theological beliefs and
practice. However, much of
the Arrow Schools curriculum
is written with a wider
evangelical audience in
mind. Try it; you'll like
it!
